I am so blessed to have wonderful clients who hire me again and again to photograph their families. In this case, I first photographed Charlotte in her Mom’s tummy, then for Christmas portraits last fall. This time around it was all about Charlotte, celebrating her first birthday! We started out with some portraits of her in a cute little dress her Mom made, and then moved on to the cake smash. Charlotte was hilarious! She refused to smile (at the camera at least!), loved to rock the box/basket she was in till she was about to tip over, and didn’t want to get into the cake at all! None of my usual tricks were working with her. Mom, Dad and myself were dancing all over the place, singing songs and making fools of ourselves, while she just sat and watched. Little did she know we were still getting great shots!
