Joel & Courtney- Together for Life {Hamilton, Dundas Wedding Photographer}

This is going to be a long post. Just warning you!

A while back, a good friend and photographer, Amy Hoogstad invited me to second shoot with her for her brother’s wedding. It so happens that it’s a very tight knit circle here- I went to school and church with Amy and her siblings growing up, and Amy’s brother was marrying my cousin. Joel and Courtney were going to be married on the same day as my 6 year wedding anniversary, and their reception was held on her parent’s front lawn- just like ours was! Surrounded by my friends and family, it almost felt like I was reliving parts of my own wedding day!

Combining two gorgeous people, a stunning wedding party, beautiful flowers, accessories, and perfect weather = a very happy photographer.

Thanks so much Amy, for inviting me along and Joel and Courtney for being so wonderful! I wish you the Lord’s blessings in your married life together. xo

AnneMarie & Matt – Together for Life {Niagara Wedding Photographer}

Life is getting ridiculously busy lately but I still want to keep up with sharing images on the blog. Here are a few of Matt and AnneMarie’s wedding a few weeks ago. I feel so blessed to have been asked to document their day- I walked away a better person for having known them. Their love for each other and also (most importantly) for God was evident throughout every single moment of their day. What a beautiful way to start their life together! We were very blessed to have gorgeous weather and a beautiful location for pictures too- the grounds of McMaster University, where Matt has spent some time studying in the past (I think even AnneMarie studied here but for some reason I’m blanking on that one- maybe it’s the fact it’s 12:30 am right now!).

Matt and AnneMarie, thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality! Spending the day with you was an absolute joy! I wish you the Lord’s blessings as you take up your work (for a brief time) in Comayagua, Honduras and pray that you will return home in the Lord’s time.

Erin & Charles | Engagement Session {Niagara Wedding Photographer}

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of getting together with one of my wedding couples for this summer. We met to do an engagement session in Village Square in Burlington. I love engagement sessions because they give the couple a chance to get in front of the camera and learn how to be comfortable in the spotlight! It’s just as important for us to get to know each other during that time. After all, you’re going to be spending your whole wedding day with me and in front of the camera- a little time practicing just makes the wedding day that much more relaxing as you will know what to expect!

We had some obstacles to work around (some lovely rain making everything wet among other things) but Erin and Charles were up for anything and were totally easygoing. I think we got some great shots! This first image was their Sneak Peek (on Facebook as that’s where I’ll be posting all Sneak Peeks from now on)…it’s too gorgeous not to share here now though!
