Derrick and Brittany | Together for Life {Grimsby Photography}

Meet my gorgeous cousin Brittany and her love, Derrick. They will be getting married next summer, and I am so excited to be photographing them! Brittany really values photography, and during our meeting she told me how important her wedding day was and that she knew the only thing that would be kept afterwards were the images. That’s the kinda girl I like to work with! I know she plans to have lots of time for portraits and I am so, so excited that they have chosen to do a First Look as well! Can’t wait! So- on to their engagement session…these were taken on a beautifully warm fall evening. We were blessed with incredible light and I just loved their whole session! I made them kiss a lot, but I don’t think they minded

Matt & Bethany- Together for Life {Decew Falls Niagara Photographer}

Here I am, blogging… at one in the morning. Crazy, yes, but this means all day is spent with my kiddos tomorrow! We are loving the summer, and trying to pack in as much as possible. I have been very busy with photography this year, but the schedule is awesome in that most sessions take place after dinner, or on Saturdays when Daddy is home. I just love it!

This summer has been full of amazing sessions with wonderful people, and each session has felt like a new favorite. This engagement session with Matt & Bethany was no different. We photographed at Decew Falls (the location of their wedding in two weeks!) and Short Hills in Fonthill. The light was wonderful, they were fun, relaxed and comfortable, and they included a few meaningful items in their session to top it all off. The vintage bikes belong to Bethany’s grandparents, and they still ride them to this day! Since Matt & Bethany love to ride, it was a perfect match. So, enough of my chit-chat, on to the images!

Erin & Charles | Engagement Session {Niagara Wedding Photographer}

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of getting together with one of my wedding couples for this summer. We met to do an engagement session in Village Square in Burlington. I love engagement sessions because they give the couple a chance to get in front of the camera and learn how to be comfortable in the spotlight! It’s just as important for us to get to know each other during that time. After all, you’re going to be spending your whole wedding day with me and in front of the camera- a little time practicing just makes the wedding day that much more relaxing as you will know what to expect!

We had some obstacles to work around (some lovely rain making everything wet among other things) but Erin and Charles were up for anything and were totally easygoing. I think we got some great shots! This first image was their Sneak Peek (on Facebook as that’s where I’ll be posting all Sneak Peeks from now on)…it’s too gorgeous not to share here now though!
