The Key To My Heart | Personal Life {Niagara Child Photographer}

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

On Sunday you turned three years old. My baby.

Three is going to be an adventure, I can tell. After being the most angelic baby for your first year, you found your voice and you developed your personality quite quickly. Two was…to put it nicely…interesting.

You are feisty, spirited, sweet, independent.

You love your ‘widdle brudder’, your ‘boy’ and torture him with your love, hugs, and kisses.

You adore your older sister, and can’t be anywhere without missing her.

You love your blankie.

You are fickle with your love. One day you’ll love something/someone SO much, and the next day you will tell them you don’t love them at all. But never blankie, blankie is the only one who lasts through your ups and downs. Anytime your feelings are hurt, or you’ve gotten an owie, blankie is your best friend.

You still love to cuddle, which Daddy and I love.

You adore anything princess, but always have scrapes on your knees and bumps and bruises. I think maybe if you didn’t have such a girlie sister and Mumma, you could have been a tomboy.

You love ballet and I can’t wait to see you this year at your first recital!

You are amazing at playing on your own. Hours upon hours can go by and you are in your own little world, setting tables for babies, dressing up, reading books. This past year I stopped putting you down for naps because it was easier to have you up and playing happily.

You have a mischievous grin that stops my heart.

You can make a whole room light up with that grin.

I love you baby girl and I am so thankful God gave you to me.

Project 12 | August {Niagara Infant, Child and Family Photographer}

Friday, August 26th, 2011

We went on vacation as a family the first week of August- heading up to Chesley Lake Camp with my Mum’s entire side of the family. It’s always a good time, and this year was even better now that we had a new cottage. As long as I can remember, we shared a cottage with a bunch of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and then moved to a little tiny shack cottage by the water. We loved the location, but the cottage left a LOT to be desired! The owners rebuilt in the same spot, and the new cottage is to.die.for. We felt like we were in a resort the whole time, and there was plenty of room for our family of 14! I meant to get a family picture all week long, but we were SO relaxed, and having so much fun, that we just never found the time. We did get this quick shot at Harrison Park on our way home.

I had one Saturday this month where I hadn’t booked anything, so we took advantage and went up to Niagara Falls for the afternoon. Pretty much the entire time was spent waiting in line to get on the Maid of the Mist. I had never been on before, and neither had Greg, so we were excited! It was an hour long wait. baking in the sun, with kids climbing over us, and people glaring at our huge stroller but we enjoyed the ride and the kids LOVED it! Of course, I had never seen the falls so close before, and it blew me away! God’s creation is so amazing!

Dan & Rosy- Together for Life {Grimsby Wedding Photographer}

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

It seems like lately all I post on the blog is weddings! Tis the season I suppose. This wedding I second shot with my cousin Kara of Kara Lodder Photography. It was a lot of fun working with 1. my cousin 2. a great couple and 3. a huge wedding party. Rosy was so detailed about everything- the bright yellow and pink theme flowed through the flowers, dresses, jewelry, even the food. It was beautiful!

Congrats Dan & Rosy- I wish you the LORD’s blessings in your marriage and many happy years together!
