Nancy & Ethan {Port Dalhousie Child and Family Photographer}

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

“There has never been, nor will there ever be, anything quite so special as the love between a mother and son”

Nancy contacted me for a session for herself and her 4 year old son, Ethan. We shot at Port Dalhousie on Mother’s Day weekend. It was a sentimental session for them- a new beginning, at one of their favorite places to be together.

I encouraged them to bring along some of their favorite activities to personalize the session, as well as a change of clothing to add variety to their images. I think the results speak for their self. Their session was full of love, laughter and fun. We played football, Boggle, tickled in the grass, skipped rocks, found sea shells and just had a blast!

After viewing the images from their session Nancy E-mailed me this ~
‘They are so amazing…I’m almost in tears.  You captured such wonderful moments.’

This is why I do what I do.
Feel free to view all the images from their session on my website under Featured Session.

Project 12 May {Niagara Family Photographer}

Monday, May 30th, 2011

Ahhh, in the nick of time. Here’s our family portrait(s) from May, taken by my awesome bro-in-law. I think he was quite enjoying being the guy behind the camera- there were a lot of shots to weed through! Thanks Aaron! Kyara was really sick this particular day (we later found out she had the flu) but she was a trooper and just took a few little puke breaks, and then came back to smile for the camera!

One thing I had to mention- after showing these to my hubby and going through the previous months shots as well, he actually said ‘It’s pretty cool to see all those family pics, seeing the kids grow’… Huh. I wonder if this means it will be a little easier to drag him out for family pics next month?!

Family Fun {Ancaster Family Photographer}

Friday, May 27th, 2011

LOVED this family, LOVED their session. They were fun, relaxed and full of love for one another.

They wanted to have their session at the abandoned house in Ancaster that I had previously used for this fun creative shoot after seeing it here on the blog. It was the perfect location for their family- the colors of their clothing really popped and the yellow forsythia in bloom coordinated perfectly!
