Personal: Family Pictures

So over the Thanksgiving weekend, I decided it was time for an updated family photo…we actually have lots of pics, but none include me . So we packed up, drove down the road and found this great field just 5 minutes from our house. The light was amazing and the kids were co-operative, what more can you ask for?!

I set my camera up on a tripod and used a remote for the ones that I am actually in. I absolutely love the results and the best part is, we were only out for 20 minutes of pics, and then headed out for dinner. This made my hubby happy. He hates these outings. Too bad he married a photographer!

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is….

Thanksgiving is a
time of gratitude to God,
our Creator and Provider,
whose guidance and care
go before us…
and whose love
is with us forever.

Thanksgiving is a time
to reflect on the changes,
to remember that we, too,
grow and change
from one season of life to another.

Thanksgiving is a time
of changing seasons,
when leaves turn golden
in Autumn’s wake
and apples are crisp
in the first chill breezes of fall.

Let us remember the true meaning
of Thanksgiving.
As we see the beauty
of Autumn, let us acknowledge
the many blessings
which are ours…
let us think of our families
and friends..
and let us give thanks in our hearts.

D&L Belly Session

Now I finally get to tell this great story!

So one day a couple of weeks ago, we got an E-mail from D, asking if we could please help him surprise his wife with pictures. He had it all planned out. He was supposed to be in Toronto for the weekend working, so when he showed up at her mother’s house, dressed up and with her clothes in hand, she was definitely surprised! He thought of everything, her clothes, the location, even the time of day for the best light! It was just so sweet!

It was so fun to be a part of it all and we had such a great time together! She’s a lucky girl, for sure, and they’re going to be such great parents. Thanks guys, it was awesome and we can’t wait to meet the little one next!
