Summer arrived, the kids were done school and I feel like I just dropped off the face of the earth when it comes to actually keeping up with blogging, social media and the like. It was a time of respite, to step back and enjoy the important moments in life. We’ve settled in to the holiday routine, being home and learning to play together again, filling seemingly endless days as they go to bed late but still don’t sleep in. We’ve vacationed together as a family and as just the parents on our own (so lovely and rejuvenating!). We’ve checked off many summer to-do’s and enjoyed long running family traditions. Work in the usual sense was definitely on the back burner for me, and it has done nothing but make me more excited to get back into that routine when school starts again. I’ll have two in school full time this year, and two at home. But there is other news, very exciting news…and it’s also part of the reason that I took a step back from computer time this summer. We are expecting a little one mid-February! Baby #5 has been extremely kind to me, I have hardly been sick at all. Even the nausea that showed up in the first trimester completely disappeared, and I feel amazing! After 9 months of sickness with some of my older children, this was a huge relief to me and to our family. The tiredness is waning and I’m so excited to meet this little one next year, God willing. This summer has been filled with endless blessings. Over the next few weeks I hope to have some more blog posts up for you to enjoy, some very cute little faces, and work news. I hope you have all enjoyed your summer as much as we have!
