The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies…

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

I’m so glad you’re ours, little man. I’m so glad God gave you to our family – to bring some ‘boy’ into our house, a little more adventure, a little more disaster. You’re a little whirlwind, spinning through the house, getting into things you shouldn’t, climbing things that are much too high for you and loving every second of danger. Your cheeky, toothy grin gets me every time…but it’s your manners that completely melt me. How is one supposed to be angry with a little boy who says ‘sowwy Mumma’ or ‘tank you Mumma’ every single time? Who begs ‘pwease Mumma, help me’ when he wants a bottle in bed? Daddy and I are both a sucker for you- we’d better straighten up before you become a teenager or we’re going to be in big trouble. Thankfully you have two older sisters who watch your every move so that Mumma can actually get some things done without wondering if you’re drinking the toilet water again. You adore the girls, especially Kyara who acts like she’s your mother most of the time. You love hanging out with your buddies Nixon and Gavin- your newest thing is calling out ‘guuuys!’ when trying to get their attention. You’re growing up little man, and it makes me sad. I wanted you to be my baby forever and ever. Thankfully you still love to snuggle with me, and I’m going to hold on to that as long as I can. When we were out on our ‘date night’ after your pictures, you thanked me for your timbits and gave me the biggest hug. I am so proud of you my little man and I pray that God will always watch over and guide you, and that you may always praise Him in your life.

Happy 2nd Birthday! We love you SO much!

Kingston is in love with his new shoes- he saw them in the first shot on the back of my camera and got so excited that I had to take a pic of his kicks

I had this idea that a vintage camera session would be fun. But apparently, since it has no cool buttons or LCD screen, it was useless to him and he promptly threw it away… oh well! At least it was soft grass and didn’t break my beautiful camera!
