One | Personal Life {Niagara Baby Photographer}

On the night you were born,
The moon smiled with such wonder
That the stars peeked in to see you
And the night wind whispered,
“Life will never be the same.”
Because there had never been anyone like you… ever in the world.

Not once had there been such eyes,
Such a nose,
Such silly, wiggly, wonderful toes.

For never before in story or rhyme
(not even once upon a time)
Has the world ever known a you, my friend,
And it never will, not ever again.

– Nancy Tillman

My baby. My sweet, snuggly, adorable baby. I can’t believe that you are a one year old already. Some days I still hold you in my arms and it feels like you were just born. I love your big blue eyes, and how you can smile at the drop of a hat. I love your fuzzy head and those dimply elbows and hands. Your tanned skin. The way you cuddle on me before I put you to bed. Your massive crocodile tears.

At one , you are learning to climb the stairs. I first found you on the fourth step, standing, as excited as can be. Time to get that baby gate up!

You are covered in bumps and bruises because you think you are invincible and you really want to get around and do things like your big sisters.

You are learning how to defend yourself against your sisters- pulling their hair works pretty well.

You are finding your voice- we are finally hearing you talk and make some noise, which, oddly enough, we are very excited about!

You learned how to wave and say ‘duh-dye’ (bye bye)- it’s the cutest thing in the world.

You greet people you are excited to see with the Heil Hitler and a very intense little face.

You finally have some tufts of (super blonde) hair- yay! Maybe one day we’ll be able to do that surfer hairstyle I’ve always loved.

You have the most adorable teeth in the world. I don’t know what it is, but I stare at them and wonder how they made a cute face even cuter!

‘Because there has never been anyone like you… ever in the world.’

We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father for this past year of happiness and health and we pray He may continue to bless you, little love.

I love you so much little boy, we all do. Happy First Birthday!

The Key To My Heart | Personal Life {Niagara Child Photographer}

On Sunday you turned three years old. My baby.

Three is going to be an adventure, I can tell. After being the most angelic baby for your first year, you found your voice and you developed your personality quite quickly. Two was…to put it nicely…interesting.

You are feisty, spirited, sweet, independent.

You love your ‘widdle brudder’, your ‘boy’ and torture him with your love, hugs, and kisses.

You adore your older sister, and can’t be anywhere without missing her.

You love your blankie.

You are fickle with your love. One day you’ll love something/someone SO much, and the next day you will tell them you don’t love them at all. But never blankie, blankie is the only one who lasts through your ups and downs. Anytime your feelings are hurt, or you’ve gotten an owie, blankie is your best friend.

You still love to cuddle, which Daddy and I love.

You adore anything princess, but always have scrapes on your knees and bumps and bruises. I think maybe if you didn’t have such a girlie sister and Mumma, you could have been a tomboy.

You love ballet and I can’t wait to see you this year at your first recital!

You are amazing at playing on your own. Hours upon hours can go by and you are in your own little world, setting tables for babies, dressing up, reading books. This past year I stopped putting you down for naps because it was easier to have you up and playing happily.

You have a mischievous grin that stops my heart.

You can make a whole room light up with that grin.

I love you baby girl and I am so thankful God gave you to me.

The Cherry Orchard {Grimsby Child Photographer}

Driving past a cherry orchard in Grimsby a few weeks ago, Kyara asked me- ‘what are all those people doing Mudder?’ (I LOVE that she calls me Mudder <3) I thought I would take them to the orchard one evening and let them pick some for themselves. We went quickly one evening after dinner- just the girls. They absolutely LOVED picking the cherries from the branches, and I loved their expressions, giggles, and excitement over each new discovery! I brought along a few things from my (chaotic) prop room, and when they were done picking the fruit, they took a little break and enjoyed some Coke (just a tiny bit- I don’t normally allow them to drink it!) It was such a fun, beautiful evening and there were some amazing memories made. Although life with kids may be absolutely crazy and challenging at times- I just adore having these little people around to keep the smiles on my face! We made sure to hit up McD’s for ice cream as well- a perfect end to the evening!
