What does it mean to be truly, wholeheartedly, fully adored? I think this newborn session with Anna shows exactly that. And I love that. I love that many years from now she will look at these images and she’ll see the love of her family surrounding her. Two very proud big brothers. The surprise and excitement that mom felt welcoming a little baby girl into their family after two busy, adorable little boys. And if that smile is any indication, I think she’s had dad wrapped around her finger from day one. With a full head of dark hair, an adorable dimple matching her older brothers, and a sweet little outfit from her auntie (Mia Joy Studio), she was the center of attention, showered with love and kisses. She’s only a few days on this earth and she’s loved beyond comprehension.

This morning I photographed this beautiful family as they welcomed their third baby boy. Each boy had similarities as newborns and yet they are all so different. Elijah had those chubby little cheeks and Ezra was (and still is) a little tiny peanut. Baby Isaac most resembles Ezra but he has a darker skin tone than the other boys. Isn’t it amazing how every newborn is created so perfectly unique? How many variations of human beings exist in this world! And every single one of them- perfect in His eyes. He is the greatest artist of all!
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.
Job 5:9, NIV
It is so awesome to witness a family as they grow and change. Mike and Anna, thank you for trusting me to photograph each of your precious baby boys! I’m so glad you’ll have all these images to show them when they are older. I’m sure they will be cherished for many generations.

The sweetest little boy with the most adorable little pout. Theo gave me a variety of adorable expressions during his newborn session in my Niagara, ON studio. It sounds funny, but I can’t help photographing babies as they cry! It’s a natural expression that we’ll want to remember as much as the dreamy smiles and those bubbles. One day when Theo is all grown up, these little crying images will bring smiles to his parents face as they recall those newborn days (and nights). And really, that pout is just too cute! I can’t wait to share the rest of his gorgeous gallery with you!
I photographed his big sister Grace a few years back – you can see her in the opening image of my website. Such beautiful babies- and I’m honored to have the chance to snuggle with them and create beautiful portraits for their parents, as well as future generations, to enjoy for years to come!

When you look back in those old sticky photo albums stored in cupboards and living room shelves for the past 20-30 years, what do you see? Yellowed photographs, curled over time… Pages worn from being turned many times over the years… You probably see images of yourself over the years, through the stages of infancy to adulthood, through bad hairstyles and questionable outfit choices. Which images in your baby albums have the most meaning to you? Likely it’s the ones where you were with someone you loved. I have images of myself as a newborn in my great grandfathers arms. There’s my dad, fast asleep on the couch with me bundled up on his chest. It underscores to me the importance of BEING in the pictures! I mean, kids are adorable and we need images of them on their own but the ones your children will cherish the most are the ones that YOU are in!
I loved this one year session with Ivy and her mommy. The snuggles, the tickles, the quiet moments, the kisses, that tender hand on the cheek. This encapsulates everything sweet and perfect about one year olds relationship with their favorite person.
If you want something like this with your babies or your grandbabies, sign up for the Motherhood Event taking place on April 9th at Mrs Greenway. There are just a few spots left!
