This little family was just so much fun to work with! I’m going to be honest and admit- I really didn’t think a one year old could outrun me (especially since my one year old son is not even walking yet!) but Shae could. I was almost completely winded by the end of their session! However, they rewarded my hard work by giving me some new favorite images! Thanks to Vicki for making sure everyone was looking amazing in their stylish and coordinating clothing. I can’t wait to see all your images in print!

Another stylish inspiration board featuring clothing from Gap, Old Navy and Piperlime for a family of 6. I love the purple/plum/wine color that’s popular now, and just bought myself a sweater in this color for the winter! I only have a few family sessions left before the holiday deadline, but I’m sure there will be plenty of inspiration in the archives as well for co-ordinating your wardrobe for your next session! The key is co-ordinating (not matching), textures and layers. The last two really help to add so much interest to your images, as well as give you the option to get warmer or cooler depending on the weather at the time!

Lois did such a great job coordinating her adorable family for their session! I loved the colors and the layers she put together, and I was especially impressed that she knit the baby’s sweater that morning! Their session was a lot of fun and these kiddos did so amazingly well! I had a great time!

I absolutely loved having Anna and Colin in front of my camera…they were naturals! Anna is just so beautiful and they were relaxed, fun and full of good times! I love that Anna still has the same fun spirit she did back when we were in high school together! It was good to see you (again) Anna!

Sweet, squishy and so, so adorable. I absolutely loved my time photographing Luke and snuggling with him. What a little munch! He was so kind as to not do any of his business on me or on my blankets- he saved all of that for his mom and dad! There are some great outtakes from this session!
I had to end with this shot- seriously!?! It’s hilarious! He opens his eyes and looks at me like “Lady, watcha doing with that thing?!”

Meet Chris and Helen, another couple whose wedding I have the pleasure of photographing next summer. I first met Helen and Chris through this wedding, so it will be fun to recognize a few faces in the crowd at their wedding. I shot their engagement session at St John’s Conservation Area, where Chris originally proposed. It was pretty cold and rainy (and kinda dark!) but Chris and Helen giggled and laughed the whole time 🙂 It was so cute! Looking forward to the wedding you two!

Meet my gorgeous cousin Brittany and her love, Derrick. They will be getting married next summer, and I am so excited to be photographing them! Brittany really values photography, and during our meeting she told me how important her wedding day was and that she knew the only thing that would be kept afterwards were the images. That’s the kinda girl I like to work with! I know she plans to have lots of time for portraits and I am so, so excited that they have chosen to do a First Look as well! Can’t wait! 🙂 So- on to their engagement session…these were taken on a beautifully warm fall evening. We were blessed with incredible light and I just loved their whole session! I made them kiss a lot, but I don’t think they minded 😉
